Pen Plotter

Artwork obtained through the mediation of a self-built Pen Plotter. It has been properly trained to interpret some generative scripts.

The computer code, made up of thick lines of text obedient to specific syntax, is transformed into a visual code made up of pen strokes or markers. Those, pushed on the sheet by a hand that is not really mine, are maneuvered in a surprisingly fantastic way.

Nature, Agriculture, Private Property. Moving your point of view away from the ground, the world shows itself for what it is. Percelled out in many small irregular areas, bent to the needs and industriousness (or non-industriousness) of each of its owners.

Luckily, it’s my Pen Plotter to take care of blowing up all the borders and bringing everything back to a state of Nature.

Complexity is made up of simple things.

At the same time, however, complexity is based on very thin equilibrium. You need just a single element cracking or collapsing in order to have the entire scaffold collapsing and frustrating the collective effort.

Try to imagine how different this artwork could be, if it would have one or some strawberries less.

An invitation for everyone to do their part.

An invitation for everyone to stop doing their part.

Complexity is made up of simple things.

At the same time, however, complexity is based on very subtle balances. It is sufficient that even a single element crack or yield to collapse the entire scaffold and frustrate the collective effort.

Narrow and contorted, the Small Intestine filters the most sneaky slanders and badnes, preventing the intoxication from pervading our mind and body.

According to some accredited studies, it seems that Mother Nature had provided us with a straight and smooth Small Intestine, originally. If evolution has transformed it like that, it is due to the everyday increasing and always heavier workload.

How much stress for our little twisted ally!

How many slags are we forced to absorb every day? They would leave heavy indelible signs on us, if it weren't for our intestines.

It is here, in the Large Intestine, that everything flows and it is here that the assimilation work begins.

Hard and leathery to resist big disappointments, it is at the same time very flexible, thanks to its special reticular fiber. New frustrations and disappointments are always lurking, and so it is better to be prepared and simplify the task of the Small Intestine as much as possible.
